BLADOW!

Slagathor has landed!

Launch began at about midnight on Friday, continued through a completely sleepless night, and ended at 7:55pm Saturday evening.

There were smiles. There were tears. And there was a big ass placenta. Oh, and there was a baby. This baby:

Weighing in at 7lbs 8oz and measuring a lanky 21 inches, Slaggy has arrived, complete with a mini-pompadour. We've nicknamed him Logan Xavier (Weapon X!), but we all know his real name will always be Slagathor Megatron, the Third.

Needless to say, we're all tired, healthy, and very very happy. It's time for us to do a little bit of sleeping and a lot of eating, but a full report on the entire adventure is forthcoming.

Until then...

Congrats to all!! For your sake I'm glad he wasn't 9lb 10oz! Logan is a great name and he's one cute kid. Enjoy what precious sleep you get. The lounge will be waiting.

Congratulations Kristin and Ryan! He is beautiful. Do I see red hair? What is he like, personality-wise? Mellow and easy? Intense and eager (impatient)?

First, you three work on rest and getting to know each other. Then, tell us all the details.
Love,
Debbie, mom of Anna

We've only known Logan for about 26 hours, but he seems to be a very sweet, tolerant little guy. Nary a prick, poke, or full-on blood sample has made him cry. Seems that only a cold table, individuals of questionable character, or an extended period away from the sacred boobies can fire up his howler.

He's a bit messy, but that's typical for boys of all ages. I've quickly become comfortable with all of his sticky icky bodily fluids.

Kristin is doing great, she's a happy momma. I wish I had some of those hormones that seem to make her immune to sleep deprivation, or maybe I just need to HTFU.

We should be headed home tomorrow, I can't wait to sleep in a proper bed or nap on the couch with our boy.

Congrats Cat and DB!
The little guy's lucky to have cool parents like you two.
Take lots of photos and videos, cause he'll be track-standing in the blink of an eye.

Dear Logan “Slagathor Megatron the Third” Xavier:
Welcome to the planet dawg. Nice choice of parental units. You obviously have a bright mind and exceptional taste. As you’ll soon learn, every once in a while, despite your enduring cuteness, said units will frazzle. Something about sleep or lack thereof. DO NOT let them lay this guilt trip on you. Most of your parents adult life has been spent partying and getting very little sleep anyway. You’re actually the first truly constructive thing they’ve done. During these down times, none of your usual tricks (i.e., drooling all over them while they position you in the arms extended up over their faces pose, hurling spit-up down their backs during burping sessions, or urinating in their faces during diaper changes) will humor or appease them. Do not despair though. Just try shooting them some raspberries, a/k/a the Bronx cheer. Works every time. Good luck with those two and try not to let the big one eat you out of house and home.
Your always friend -- H

Am so happy for you two to have the bouncing baby boy join you on this crazy adventure called "life." The World SS Championships sure seem like a silly long time ago! Maybe you can drag him around the Durango course in a trailer behind the S---bike. Let the good times roll!

He is beautiful! And looks like both of you, you lucky people. I made a mini-Joe. Of the same length - perhaps someday they can get together and have super-tall kids. So happy for you & glad you agree that it is totally awesome. Love,
Lauren
